This privacy policy governs the GDT Administration app (smartphone app), Gauge Data Transmitter (GDT), and the WallGauge.com web site.

 

As we progress from development to production this page will be updated and is designed to inform app and web site users about our policies in the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information should they decide to use our Product.

If you choose to use our Product, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information we collect is used to improve the product. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Product, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to location data, specifically where you, the user, actively use the GDT Administration app, and how the app is used. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

 

Log Data

Whenever you use our Product, in case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Product, the time and date of your use of the Product, and other statistics.

 

Diagnostic logging (“Remote Logging”) can be enabled on your GDT that will send detailed logging information to our logging service.  The log data will be sent over a secure ssl connection but may contain detailed configuration information about your wireless network and other data required for troubleshooting. 

 

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amounts of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the website you visit, and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

Our web site may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and to improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Product.

Open Source Code

We rely on Open Source Code inside the GDT device.  The authors of the Open Source Code may collect data without our knowledge.  To minimize this risk we only store a minimal amount of your data on the GDT device.  However, some gauges may require an access token or password for access.  If we use one of these data sources we will encrypted your user data and only store it local on the GDT device. 

 

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service provide
